Rank and its brands have a long history of community involvement and charitable fund-raising.

Our venues are often cited as ‘community hubs’ – particularly our Mecca bingo venues. We challenge all of our teams to consider what they can contribute to the communities that they serve.

This takes the form of charitable fund-raising for local and national causes, the use of our venues for community events and participation in local business and community organisations, amongst other activities.

Rank Cares

Rank is proud to be working in partnership with Carers Trust, the UK’s largest charity for carers. Carers Trust works to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid for a family member or friend. With over 170 Network Partners including care schemes and carers centres they aim to ensure that information, advice and practical support are available to all carers across the UK.

With nearly 11,000 employees working in Rank’s 96 Mecca bingo clubs, 56 Grosvenor casinos as well as in its support centres, the company will be supporting Carers Trust with volunteering as well as fund-raising.

Dedicated Rank Cares grant funds have been set up to support carers across the UK:

  • Essentials Fund – providing basic household equipment to carers who are experiencing financial hardship
  • Inspire to Be Fund – enabling carers to gain new skills
  • Take a Break Fund – giving carers time out from their caring role to relax and recharge their batteries

In addition, Rank Cares provides a framework for team members to volunteer their time to help the Carers Trust, often utilising hidden talents to bring relief and happiness to these selfless carers.
