How we work
We know that great work can happen in different ways. That’s why many of our roles offer hybrid working (with 60% of our time in the office and 40% working remotely), giving colleagues the flexibility to balance collaboration, focus time and life outside of work.
Our shared services teams are based across four UK locations, each with its own identity and community:
Maidenhead Support Office
Birmingham Support Hub
Sheffield
London
Wherever you’re based, you’ll be part of one connected Group team.

OUR WORKPLACE CULTURE
High-performance.
Inclusive. Human.
A fun, flexible and rewarding workplace starts with a culture that’s fair, respectful and inclusive. That foundation allows our teams to do their best work, support one another and make a positive difference in the communities we’re part of.
At the heart of our purpose to excite and entertain is a culture of continuous improvement – one that supports every colleague to grow and ensures the right protection for every customer. This culture is brought to life through our STARS values, which shape how we work, how we recognise success and how we build meaningful careers at Rank.
We focus not just on what we do, but on how we work together to win – and how we continue to grow, both professionally and personally.

Life in the office
We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can belong, feel supported and have purpose.
Events and awareness
Quarterly Local STARS Awards events, summer and Christmas parties, plus regular social and wellbeing activities. We also come together to raise money for our corporate charity partner, Carers Trust.
Ways to get involved
Whether you want to lead, contribute or learn, there are plenty of opportunities to take part. You’re always welcome to join one of our Social & Wellbeing Squads to help shape our culture and create great experiences for colleagues.
“My four years at Rank have been a rewarding journey. The company has actively supported my professional development, including enabling me to achieve my CIPD qualification, and has provided opportunities for me to grow within my role.”
“I am passionate about continuous improvement and championing change, and I’m proud to work for an organisation that shares these values.”
“I’ve always felt that one of the best things about working at Rank is the team culture. Even though we’re spread across multiple continents, Rank encourages us to build strong, meaningful working relationships, ensuring we reach our goals – and have fun doing so.”
“I joined Rank six years ago as a Tech Lead and have since progressed through a variety of roles, from leading our front-end teams and engineering function to becoming a Principal Architect. Every step has brought new opportunities to learn, solve complex challenges and make a real impact.
What has made the biggest difference is the people – talented colleagues who genuinely support one another and create an environment where you can grow. If you’re looking for a place where your career can evolve in ways you never expected, this is it.”

More than a job
We believe great workplaces are built on connection. Our social and wellbeing squads make sure there are plenty of chances to step away from the laptop and spend time with colleagues – from summer and Christmas parties to Local STARS Awards lunches and breakfasts, and lots of moments in between.
We’re also proud to come together to give back, regularly raising funds for our corporate charity partner, Carers Trust, helping to support unpaid carers across the UK.
Because at Rank, we value everything that makes you, you. Our high performance culture is open, dynamic and inclusive — where everyone is supported, listened to and recognised.
