Mentoring@Rank

At Rank, we believe that great learning and development happens through connection, collaboration, and shared experience. That’s why we created our mentoring programme, Mentoring@Rank, designed to empower colleagues to take ownership of their development.

Mentoring@Rank provides colleagues with the unique opportunity to connect with others from across the business and learn from different perspectives, and where mentors and mentees build supportive relationships to help each other’s development.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with a satisfaction rate of 4.9 out of 5 demonstrating the value of the programme to our colleagues.

“For me, the programme was rewarding on so many levels. I was paired with a mentee who has both outstanding personal and professional qualities. Selena’s positive attitude was infectious, and our sessions together were pleasant and refreshing. Her enthusiasm and drive have encouraged me to seek out new growth opportunities at Rank.”

Saffron Pawar – Transformation Director (Maidenhead)

“Saffron was absolutely amazing, a true mentor and a strong woman with a wealth of experience. Her exceptional mentorship, guidance, support and expertise have had a profound impact on my development.”

“Saffron offered insightful advice and practical solutions that helped me navigate complex situations with greater confidence and clarity. I was able to identify areas for improvement while recognising some of my hidden strengths. I am grateful for the positive influence that Saffron has had on me and my career at Rank.”

In response to a successful pilot, in 2024, we expanded the programme across the entire Group, providing mentoring and mentee opportunities to 150 colleagues across various roles and spanning seven countries. This year, we are opening the programme up to an even larger cohort, with 250 places available.

Individuals can easily apply to be a mentor or mentee through the online platform, Mentorloop, which  pairs colleagues using the information they have shared. These matches are then reviewed by the Learning & Development team to ensure the pairings will maximise the success of the relationships and the overall experience.

“We’re deeply committed to creating opportunities for our colleagues to work, win and grow with us. Mentoring@Rank has been a resounding success, and we’re incredibly proud of the positive impact it’s already had on the colleague experience. It’s encouraging to see such a fantastic sign-up rate for the 2025 programme, which shows how much our people value learning from and supporting each other. We look forward to seeing even more connections made, knowledge shared, and success stories as we continue to invest in developing our talented teams.”
