“Let’s Talk About Safer Gambling”
Safer Gambling Week is a national, cross-industry campaign aimed at raising awareness of safer gambling across the UK and Ireland. It encourages open conversations, highlights practical tools and resources, and provides guidance for anyone who may need additional support.
This year (17–23 November), we marked Safer Gambling Week with a series of initiatives to engage customers, colleagues, and the wider public:
Across our social channels, we reinforced the importance of responsible play. We also heard from colleagues across the business – from general managers to the digital player protection team in Mauritius – on what safer gambling means in their areas.
Our venues showcased resources to highlight the tools available to customers, helping them stay in control and play responsibly.
Internally, we held three masterclasses with our Interactive, Grosvenor, and Mecca player protection teams. These sessions covered updates such as cryptocurrency best practices, reinforced safer gambling processes, and empowered our teams to confidently continue having responsible gambling conversations with customers.
Safer Gambling Week is an important reminder that promoting responsible play is a shared commitment. By continuing these conversations, we reduce stigma, raise awareness, and ensure every customer can enjoy their experience safely.
